Miller is a Guggenheim, Sadler's Wells, New York City Center, and Princess Grace Fellow, and was featured in Forbes as an entrepreneur and leader in the dance world. Miller is known for her exploration of the essential elements of human behavior and the alchemy of human expression through the medium of movement and performance. Barnes started collaborating with Robbie Saenz de Viteri in 2013 at which point the company adopted the motto of “bringing dance where it doesn’t belong.”Īndrea Miller is a creator and collaborator for dance, film, fashion, and the visual arts. Since Monica Bill Barnes’ founding in 1997, Monica Bill Barnes’ choreography has been seen in many places, such as New York City’s Bowling Green public fountain, on stage at Carnegie Hall, throughout the galleries of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and in director Greta Gerwig’s film Little Women. The concert will feature two new choreographic works by internationally renowned guest artists, Monica Bill Barnes and Andrea Miller, Artistic Director and Choreographer of Gallim Dance.

Dance students also have the opportunity to attend summer workshops and/or obtain internships at Jacob’s Pillow for college credit.Īuditions are required. Through the College partnership with Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, dance students have year-round, complete access to live performances, the festival dance archives, lectures, workshops, interviews, and in-person networking with international artists in residence.
